Terms of use
Last updated 7 September 2026
1. Who we are, and what these terms cover
Jinty ("Jinty", "the service", "we", "our", "us") is operated by ECom24 Ltd, a company registered in Scotland, United Kingdom under number SC276560, with its registered office at Jinty.store, Hamilton House, ML10 6SY, UK.
These terms cover your use of the Jinty website, the creator app and every link-in-bio page and product page we host. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Jinty.
If you use Jinty on behalf of a business or organisation, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it.
2. What Jinty is
Jinty gives you a link-in-bio page at jinty.store/your-username. You can put links, text, a photo and email-capture cards on it, publish it, and share the link wherever you like.
Where paid selling is available on your account, you can also create products: digital downloads or links that you sell or give away, each with its own product page.
Jinty is hosting and delivery software. We do not sell anything to your audience. That distinction runs through section 7 and matters a great deal, so it is worth reading even if you are not selling yet.
3. Your account
3.1 Registering. You need to give us a real name, a working email address and a password. Keep the details accurate. We use your email to reach you about your account.
3.2 Verifying. You can use most of Jinty before verifying your email, but you cannot publish your link-in-bio page until you have verified it.
3.3 Age. You must be at least 18 to hold a Jinty account.
3.4 Security. You are responsible for your password and for anything done through your account. Tell us at hello@jinty.store if you think someone else has access to it.
3.5 One account. Keep to one account per person or business. Extra accounts created to get around the free-plan limits in section 9 may be closed.
4. Your username and your link-in-bio page
4.1 Usernames are first come, first served, with exceptions. Some usernames are reserved: words we need for our own routes, brand terms, and offensive or misleading words. We may refuse or reclaim a username that impersonates someone else, infringes a trade mark, or is being held without being used.
4.2 Your link-in-bio page lives on our domain. Creator pages are published at jinty.store/{username} and are publicly visible and indexable by search engines. That is deliberate and permanent. If you do not want a page to be public, keep it unpublished. A page in Draft is visible only to you.
4.3 Attribution. Published pages carry a small Jinty badge linking back to us. On paid plans where we say the badge can be removed, it can be removed; otherwise it stays.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use Jinty to:
- break the law, or help anyone else break it;
- publish or sell anything you do not have the rights to;
- publish or sell sexual content involving children, content that incites violence or hatred, or anything that harasses or targets a person;
- run a scam, a fake shop, a pyramid or matrix scheme, or anything designed to mislead people out of their money;
- publish or deliver malware, or files that damage or take control of someone's device;
- impersonate another person, business or brand, including us;
- send spam, or add addresses to your contact list that were not given to you;
- attack, overload, probe or reverse engineer the service, or try to reach accounts, files or data that are not yours;
- resell or white-label Jinty as if it were your own product;
- get around the plan limits in section 9 by any means, including extra accounts.
You are responsible for everything published from your account: your links, your words, your images and your files.
6. Reporting, moderation and takedown
6.1 Every public page carries a report link. Anyone can use it to tell us about content they think breaches these terms. Reports reach us directly.
6.2 What we do about them. We look at reports and act where we think it is warranted. We may remove or hide a link, a product or a file, suspend a link-in-bio page, or suspend the whole account. Where we can, we tell you what we have done and why.
6.3 Urgent cases. We may act immediately and without notice where content appears to be illegal, where someone is at risk, or where the service or other creators are being harmed.
6.4 If you think we got it wrong, reply to us at hello@jinty.store and we will look again. We are a small team; we will be as fair and as quick as we can, and we do not promise more than that.
6.5 Copyright. If something on Jinty infringes your copyright, write to hello@jinty.store with enough detail to identify the work, the page it is on and yourself.
7. Selling through Jinty: who sells what to whom
This is the most important section for anyone taking money through Jinty. Read it before you publish a paid product. It applies in full where paid selling is available on your account; the parts about payment providers only bite once you have connected one.
7.1 You are the seller. When someone buys one of your products, they are buying from you, not from us. The contract of sale is between you and your buyer. Jinty is never the merchant of record and never the seller. We host your product page and we deliver the file or the link on your instruction. That is the whole of our role in the sale. This is about what you sell to your buyers. It has nothing to do with the Seller plan you buy from us: for that, we are the seller, and section 9 is where that lives.
7.2 The money never touches us. You connect your own payment provider account: Stripe, and possibly others later. Your buyer pays on your provider's own secure payment page. The money goes from your buyer to your provider to you. It does not pass through Jinty, and we never hold it. Your provider's own terms and fees apply to you directly; we are not a party to that agreement. The same is true of every other provider behind Jinty. See the privacy policy for the full list and what each does.
Jinty takes no percentage of your sales. Your payment provider's processing fees always apply and are nothing to do with us.
7.3 What your buyers are shown. Every checkout carries a line naming you as the seller and giving a contact for questions and refunds. It reads "Sold by {your name}. Questions or refunds: {your email}." You can add links to your own terms and privacy pages if you have them, and they will be shown too. You must keep that contact address working and read it. The line exists so that no buyer ever reaches a checkout with nobody to ask.
7.4 What we are responsible for. Hosting your product page, taking your buyer to your payment provider, and delivering the file or the link once your provider tells us the payment succeeded. If we fail at that, it is our problem and you should tell us.
7.5 What you are responsible for. Everything else about the sale, including:
- describing your product accurately: what it is, what the buyer gets, and what it costs;
- delivering what you promised, and dealing with a buyer who says you did not;
- refunds: your refund policy, your decision, your money. We cannot refund a payment we never received. Refunds are made through your payment provider;
- tax: VAT, sales tax, income tax and reporting are yours. We are not the merchant of record and we do not account for tax on your sales;
- consumer law, including the UK and EU rules for selling digital content to consumers. Those rules give a consumer buyer a 14-day right to cancel, unless the buyer has agreed to immediate delivery and acknowledged that doing so ends that right. If you sell to consumers in the UK or EU, this obligation is yours.
- your own privacy obligations to your buyers, as described in section 8;
- anything your buyer suffers because of what you sold them.
If a buyer, a payment provider or an authority comes after us over something in this list, section 17 applies.
7.6 If you are a buyer. You are buying from the creator whose page you are on, not from Jinty. Your contract, your refund rights and your consumer rights are against them, and the checkout tells you who they are and how to reach them. We host the product page and deliver the file or the link. If the delivery itself fails, meaning you paid and nothing arrived, tell us at hello@jinty.store and we will look at it, but questions about the product, the price and refunds go to the creator.
8. Your audience, and your contacts
8.1 The list is yours. Email addresses captured through your link-in-bio page and your products belong to you. We hold them so the product works, and you can export them at any time.
8.2 We process them for you. In data-protection terms you are the controller of your contacts and we are your processor. The privacy policy sets out what that means in practice.
8.3 The rules you must keep to. You may only contact people who gave you their address, for the thing they gave it for. Where someone ticked the marketing box, we record the exact wording they agreed to and when. That record is your evidence, and it is only good if you stay inside it. Adding bought, scraped or borrowed addresses is a breach of section 5.
8.4 Delivery email is transactional. When someone claims a free product or buys a paid one, we send them the file or the link. That email goes because they asked for the thing: it is not marketing, and it is sent whether or not they ticked any box.
8.5 If your account closes, so does the export. Take your contacts with you before you delete your account (see section 13).
9. Plans, limits and the Seller plan
9.1 The link-in-bio page is free, and stays free. There is no paid link-in-bio tier and there never will be.
9.2 The free plan has limits. They apply to your account, and the limits in force at any time are the ones stated in the app on the Plans page. We may change them. If we lower one, we will tell you before it affects you.
9.3 What the Free plan includes for selling. The Free plan includes your first three successful paid orders. An order that you refund does not count towards those three, so refunding a sale gives that sale back. From your fourth successful paid order onwards, selling a paid product needs the Seller plan. The number you have left is shown in the app, on the Sales page and on the Plans page, and it is the number that applies.
9.4 The Seller plan. The Seller plan is a subscription you buy from us. Its price and what it includes are shown on the Plans page before you subscribe, and that is the price you pay. You can pay monthly or yearly, and either way you pay in advance for the period ahead. We take the payment through Stripe. If we change the price, we will tell you before it applies to you, and you will be able to cancel before it does.
9.5 Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from the Plans page, which takes you to Stripe's billing screen. Your plan then runs to the end of the period you have already paid for, and stops there. We do not refund part-periods. Nothing in this paragraph affects any statutory right you have as a consumer.
9.6 What happens if you stop subscribing. Nothing is deleted. Your link-in-bio page stays published. Your free products keep working, and people can still claim them. Everyone who has already bought from you keeps their download. Your contacts and your sales are still yours and you can still export them. The one thing that stops is new paid orders: once you are past the three paid orders the Free plan includes, your paid products stop taking new orders until you subscribe again. Your paid products are not deleted and not unpublished, and they start selling again the moment you do.
9.7 Tax. The price shown on the Plans page includes any sales tax or VAT we are required to charge you. Your invoices are on Stripe's billing screen, which you reach from the Plans page. This paragraph is about the plan you buy from us. Tax on what you sell to your buyers is yours, and section 7 is where that lives.
9.8 Taking your data with you. Your contacts and your sales export to a CSV file at any time, on any plan, whether you are subscribed or not. Section 13 covers what happens to your data if you close your account.
9.9 This is a new product. Jinty is in active development. Features will change, some will be added and some will be withdrawn. We do not promise that any plan, cap or feature will stay as it is indefinitely. Where we withdraw something you were relying on, we will give you what notice we reasonably can.
10. Your content, and ours
10.1 Yours stays yours. You own what you upload and write: your text, images, files and products. Nothing here transfers ownership to us.
10.2 The licence you give us. So that we can actually run the service, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, adapt for display, and publish your content, for the purpose of operating and promoting Jinty. "Adapt for display" means resizing an image or generating a share card, not rewriting your words. The licence lasts as long as we hold the content and ends for public display when you unpublish or delete.
10.3 You confirm you have the rights to everything you publish or sell through Jinty.
10.4 Ours stays ours. Jinty's software, name, logo, designs and content are ours and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. Nothing in these terms gives you the right to use our brand, beyond the attribution badge we put on your page.
11. Files you upload
11.1 Limits. There are limits on file size and on the file types we accept. They are shown in the app when you upload.
11.2 Where they live. Files are stored with our storage provider and delivered to your buyers through time-limited links. We do not attach files to emails.
11.3 We are not a backup service. Keep your own copy of everything you upload. We take reasonable care, but you should never let Jinty hold the only copy of something that matters.
11.4 We may remove a file that breaches section 5, without notice where the case is urgent.
12. Availability
We try hard to keep Jinty up, and we do not guarantee it. There will be maintenance, and there will be failures. We give notice of planned maintenance where we can. We are not liable for downtime, except where section 15 says we cannot exclude liability.
13. Closing your account, and what happens then
13.1 You can close your account at any time, from Settings → Profile.
13.2 What happens immediately. Your link-in-bio page and every product page stop working. They return "not found" to anyone who visits, and your session ends. Your email address is released straight away, so you can register again with it later.
13.3 The 30-day hold. For 30 days after deletion, your account is held rather than erased. If you deleted it by mistake, contact us at hello@jinty.store within that window and we can reverse it. Your username stays reserved throughout. Nobody else can take it while it is held, and a username on its own is not personal data.
13.4 After 30 days. Once the hold ends, your personal data is purged. The one exception is purchase records, where they exist: UK tax and limitation rules require us to keep a minimal record of a purchase for six years, cut down to what that record needs. It does not include your account, your files or anything beyond it. Past the 30-day hold you cannot get the account back. The privacy policy explains this in the same terms. Export your contacts before you delete. Once the hold ends, they are gone with everything else.
14. Suspension and closure by us
We may suspend or close your account, or take down a page, a product or a file, if you breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if leaving it up would put people or the service at risk. Where we reasonably can, we tell you first. Serious or repeated breaches get no notice.
If we close your account for a reason that is not your fault, say because we stop providing the service, we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to export your data.
15. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Subject to that:
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, lost sales, lost data or lost business opportunities;
- we are not liable for anything arising out of a sale between you and your buyer as set out in section 7;
- our total liability to you in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period and £100.
16. No warranties
Jinty is provided "as is" and "as available". Beyond what these terms say and what the law requires, we make no promises about it. In particular, we do not promise that you will make any sales, or any money at all.
17. Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against us because of what you published or sold through Jinty, whether a buyer, a rights holder, a payment provider or an authority, you will cover our reasonable losses and costs in dealing with it. This does not apply to claims caused by our own breach of these terms.
18. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email or by a notice in the app before it takes effect. Carrying on using Jinty after that means you accept the new terms. If you do not, close your account.
19. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. If we cannot sort a dispute out between us, it goes to the courts of Scotland. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the rights you have under the law of the country you live in.
20. The rest
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. If we do not enforce something straight away, we have not given up the right to. You may not transfer your account or these terms to anyone else without our agreement; we may transfer them if the business is sold, and we will tell you if that happens. These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between us.
